Arrrrrgh You Ready for Back to School?

I'm not but I will blink and  it will be that week!  I always choose a movie type theme to start my year.  I was going to do Madagascar with circus theme (sing along du du du du da, circus du du du du da afro...).  Wouldn't that have been fun to hear all year long?  Well, maybe not.  Anyway, my best teaching buddy's daughter came up with that for her, so...I decided to find a new theme.  After much searching, I found that Ice Age is coming out and the themes in the new movie match my room perfectly-world, ocean, and lastly pirates (Who doesn't love a  pirate theme?).  I looked at school girl style and got some ideas but her files cost $ and clash with my color scheme of blue and green.  (Several years ago I followed Debbie Diller's suggestion of revamping your classroom and choosing only 2 colors to decorate with.)  I am buying a teacher's subscription to lettering delights and with it I get permission to graphics and offer my creations for free.  So watch for links to download my pirate theme with blue/green color scheme.
